Option 1: Authorised Reseller

Risk of purchase: Risk-Free
Reason of Risk-Free: Your purchase is warrant by Official Nu Skin, keep your receipt throughout the entire warranty / guarantee period in case you need to exercise the claim.

Everyone should understand that Nu Skin is a direct selling company that produces and distributes high quality products through a network of independent distributors. Nu Skin demonstrate their tradition of innovation through our comprehensive anti-aging product portfolio, rewarding business opportunity and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Nu Skin currently operates in nearly 50 markets worldwide.

Nu Skin of respective market has an exclusive right to import and distribute Nu Skin products. Nu Skin products are marketed and sold to Nu Skin local distributors by Nu Skin of each market. Nu Skin sell its products only to its distributors who under their agreements with Nu Skin, are required to sell Nu Skin products by way of direct selling but not by any other means. Nu Skin Policies and Procedures (“P&P”) strictly prohibit the promotion and sale of Nu Skin product by Distributors via the Internet using websites i.e. 11th Street, Lazada, Shopee, Amazon, eBay, Carousell and etc. which are not produced and/or approved by the company.

All products sold by Nu Skin in each market have been lawfully registered with the relevant authorities of respective market and comply with all the applicable law on food safety and cosmetic products.

Recently it has come to Nu Skin’s attention that some Nu Skin products are sold on websites other than Nu Skin official website (“Unauthorised Websites”). Nu Skin would like to highlight the following:

  • The sale of Nu Skin products on these Unauthorised Websites is not authorized by Nu Skin;
  • The products sold on these Unauthorised Websites may not have been registered in Malaysia;
  • Nu Skin is not responsible for any violation of applicable product registration law and product safety law by these Unauthorised Websites or their website operators;
  • Products purchased on these Unauthorised Websites are not qualified for Nu Skin’s generous satisfaction guarantee (where applicable), nor are the products guaranteed to be tamper free;
  • Products purchased on these Unauthorised Websites are not qualified for Nu Skin’s refund policy without a valid sales order number from Nu Skin.

Anyone who wishes to buy Nu Skin products in their market should buy through the Nu Skin of their market’s office or authorised Nu Skin distributors.

Option 2: Amazon

Risk of purchase: ★★★★★
Reason of Risk: Unauthorized Seller – Your purchase is not warrant by Official Nu Skin.

Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer and a prominent cloud services provider at the moment. Today Amazon is a titan of e-commerce, logistics, payments, hardware, data storage, and media. It dabbles in plenty more industries. It’s the go-to site for online shoppers and merchants alike, a modern necessity that independent sellers love to hate. Prime, Amazon’s signature $99-a-year membership program, has an estimated 85 million subscribers in the US, equivalent to about two-thirds of American households. To even call it an e-commerce company feels completely inadequate.

As I did a search on Amazon with keyword “LumiSpa”, 7 results being returned as of today. The offering price ranges from $120 and one of the seller claiming there’s 15 ready stocks for sale. 😂

Option 3: eBay

Risk of purchase: ★★★★★
Reason of Risk: Unauthorized Seller – Your purchase is not warrant by Official Nu Skin.

eBay Inc. is a multinational e-commerce corporation based in San Jose, California that facilitates consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer sales through its website.

As I did a search on eBay with keyword “LumiSpa”, 70 results being returned as of today. The offering price ranges from $176.95 for a set of LumiSpa Debut Kit.

Note: You might be wondering though why Amazon has lesser sellers, but people are actually more keen to buy from Amazon compared to eBay, here’s Why Do Most People Choose Amazon Rather Than eBay for Buying Products

Option 4: Lazada

Risk of purchase: ★★★★★
Reason of Risk: Unauthorized Seller – Your purchase is not warrant by Official Nu Skin.

Launched in 2012, Lazada is the number-one online shopping and selling destination in Southeast Asia (SEA) – present in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

There are 179 results being returned as I searched for “ageLOC LumiSpa” on Lazada, but the result aren’t totally just about LumiSpa, this reflects pretty accurately of the culture of Southeast Asia online sellers IMHO, it seems like sellers don’t really care what keywords to use when it comes to listing a product for sale on Lazada, sellers would use the keyword “LumiSpa” for listings for other Nu Skin or ageLOC products too.

Option 5: Shopee

Risk of purchase: ★★★★★
Reason of Risk: Unauthorized Seller – Your purchase is not warrant by Official Nu Skin.

Shopee is a mobile-first social marketplace where everyone can browse, shop and sell anytime, anywhere. It is a platform tailored for Southeast Asia, combining the authenticity of a customer-to-customer (C2C) marketplace. with payment and logistical support, making online shopping easy, secure and fuss-free.

51 results returned as I searched for “LumiSpa” on Shopee, some stated “warranty provided”. (We will talk about this in the later part of this article).

Option 6: TaoBao 淘宝网

Risk of purchase: ★★★★★
Reason of Risk: Unauthorized Seller – Your purchase is not warrant by Official Nu Skin.

Taobao (Chinese: 淘宝网) is a Chinese online shopping website, headquartered in Hangzhou, China, and is a subsidiary of Alibaba Group.

There’s countless of offers being returned when I searched for LumiSpa on Taobao.com 😂 There’s only one thing I can be sure that these, are all going to be shipped from China, which I think these search result is only useful to people that’s residing in the China itself.

Summary

Now let’s see what these means. I am just going to pick one VERY IMPORTANT reason why you should not, even though you could or would, buy from these e-commerce platforms.

Many might not know but every Nu Skin distributor knew, that anyone that sell on the Amazon, eBay, Lazada, Taobao, Shopee, Carousell, 11-Street, or any mass-sellers selling platforms, are actually risking their distributorship to be there. These sellers will have to disguise their identity from the public when they sell on these unauthorised websites / platforms. There is no way that they could offer buyers the product of it’s warranty or guarantee buyer’s satisfactory of the product if applicable, buyers will not be able to exercise the return policy if they ever need to, simply because sellers on these unauthorised platforms will never able to provide buyer the order number of the product delivered, while buyer need exactly that for warranty claims. This is because the order number will expose the seller’s identity, the company would void their distributorship immediately once they identified the individual. The struggle is true that you will never able to purchase Nu Skin products with it’s warranty from these platforms.

There are more reasons why you should always purchase LumiSpa from authorised entities, but in this blog I’m only going to share what’s essential. And no matter where you decide to buy your LumiSpa from, there’s one unavoidable step – You must test your skins to find out what is your skins type before you buy your LumiSpa.
